Rihanna is promoting her new collection of socks and actually got behind the register to ring up customers.

  • Rihanna made an appearance at sock brand Stance’s New York City location on Wednesday.
  • Clara Lionel Foundation, which she founded in 2012.
  • Rihanna collaborated with Stance to design a special collection of socks and tights, with proceeds going toward global initiatives to make health and education more available globally.
  • At the party, Rihanna got behind the register to ring up purchases, take photos with fans, and sign autographs.

Rihanna juggles a lot of different roles these days as a singer, actress, designer, and beauty maven. But her latest gig as a cash register associate is delightful — and in support of a cause that she feels strongly about.

On Wednesday, the “Love on the Brain” singer made an appearance at a benefit event for her charity, the Clara Lionel Foundation. The brand Stance (known for fun, yet practical socks) teamed up with the CLF for a special collaboration and party that was held at Stance’s flagship store in New York City’s Soho district.

Rihanna designed more than 20 socks and tights for a special Stance collection, called “Fenty for Stance by Rihanna.” A portion of the proceeds was given to the foundation in support of their ongoing mission to make education and health more accessible to people around the world.

Rihanna gave followers a heads up about the CLF event by posting information on her Instagram story.

Needless to say, fans caught on and rushed to catch a glimpse of the singer.

Following the event, Rihanna took to Instagram to thank all the people who made the event possible, as well as those who purchased products.

She wrote: “Thank you to everyone who came out to support us in NY and online yesterday in an effort to change and save lives around the world with #CLF !!! @stancemuse X @claralionelfdn.”

This isn’t the first time Rihanna has collaborated with Stance.

Her relationship with the company dates back to 2015, when it was revealed that she was named a creative director. Since then, she’s released multiple collaborations with the brand, including one collection inspired by some of her most iconic outfits and a holiday line. Most recently, she released Valentine’s Day socks.

Rihanna created the Clara Lionel Foundation in 2012, in honor of grandparents Clara and Lionel Braithwaite.
Since launching six years ago, the foundation has worked to improve the lives of lower-income families. They have developed a scholarship program, a grants program, and a medicine center in Rihanna’s home country of Barbados.
